The Grove City Youth Soccer Assocation, founded in 1980, is a nonprofit organization supported by area volunteers. GCYSA has been providing a safe and fun environment for children of the area to play soccer in both competitive and noncompetitive environments. Noncompetitve In-House programs are provided to allow children under 10 to learn the game of soccer. This program concentrates on age appropriate fundamentals of the game of soccer while allowing children to spend most of their time playing instead of performing drills.
The Travel program provides a competitive playing field for children ages 8 to 19. The Travel teams compete in District 7 of PA West. The travel programs concentrate on strategy as well as basic fundamentals. Travel teams, unlike the In-House programs are seperated into Boys and Girls divisions. Travel teams also provides opportunities for children to play at different levels based on skill and interest.
GCYSA is administered by an Executive Committee. Many positions on the committee are elected each year in July, while other positions are appointed by the elected members. The committee normally meets on the third Wednesday of each month. For more information on when and where to find Committee meetings, see our Schedule of Events page.
